Projects

Special needs groups (children, adults and senior citizens) are exposed to life threatening situations due to their poor health (Epilepsy, respiratory problems and more). Because of their physical and mental condition and medical limitations, these people develop a lack of independence in their daily lives.
The Alert dogs undergo a special training course, whose main purpose is to teach the dogs how to identify these distresses and to respond instantaneously. The dog alerts in real time, by activating a distress button or by barking which activates a satellite sensor mounted on the dog's collar, sending a distress signal showing the person's location, straight to the mobile phone.
The person is not capable of using discretion when in distress, therefore the dog is the one using the right discretion and activating the various options at his disposal in order to get help in the fastest possible way.

Being connected to a 24 hour emergency service offers the family members and the handicapped yet another option to get help and extra supervision.

Sequence of events:

1. The handicapped and the dog are in a public facility
2. The handicapped goes into respiratory distress
3. The dog alerts by barking, thus activating the cellular system
4. Family members and the emergency service receive an emergency signal (and    location)
5. Summoning first-aid to the location.
